Hello Friends – and welcome to my “blog”!
This is the page where I’m supposed to tell you a little bit about myself so you’ll know what you’re getting into whenever you land here. I’ll do my best, but I feel I should warn you in advance, folks – as my husband always says, “With Tron, it’s a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get!”
Here’s the truth – I don’t actually know what I want to be when I grow up, but right now, I’m working on being content just being “me”..
- a child of God, a wife, a mom, a daughter, sister, aunt, friend….
- a disciple-follower of Christ, a writer, a traveler, a student, a worker, a keeper of home and hearth….
- a mistake-maker, a major screwer-upper, a hormone-ridden 40-something, a seeker of Truth…
- a lover of people, exploring new places & visiting my homes-away-from home, almost all kinds of music, all beaches, gorgeous sunsets, crackling campfires, mountain cabins by a babbling stream, road trips with people I love, well-designed theme parks, amazing recipes, making spaces beautiful, nostalgia, Bible studies, fun social gatherings, deep discussions, time to read and write in an inspiring spot, happy places and happy spaces…
and probably a few other descriptive phrases & things I’d rather not share just yet!
I know for sure I can’t be described easily, and I know that you can’t be put in a neat and tidy little box, either. I love that. That’s what makes life interesting, and relationships worth exploring!
For the record, I’m also a former healthcare sales rep/account manager, an ecstatic member of the Disney Parks Moms Panel since 2011, a contributing writer for TravelingMom.com, an inaugural member of the 2017 Dollywood Insiders, an on-again/off-again student working on my Masters of Divinity in Theology through Liberty University Online, a former homeschooling mom to two rambunctious boys, and a struggling writer. I’m also a consultant for Rodan + Fields Skincare (you should see my Before/After pictures!)
I stay a little busy. 🙂
This life journey is short, and sometimes I find myself traveling all over the map…which means I’m a frazzled home-maker some days, and then living the “Great Adventure” other times.
But despite the messiness, and the fact that I’m always “traveling,” I know where I come from, and I know my True North. Jesus is my Savior, and it is my purpose in life to follow Him, as His disciple, sharing His love and His Good News, going and making disciple-followers of Christ along the way.
And I’m learning how important it is to enjoy the journey, to be open to each new discovery around every bend, to make memories, keep a journal, learn from my mistakes, and share this crazy life with others. That’s why this blog exists.
On these pages I pledge to share pieces of myself, give (humble) opinions, converse with you if you want, give you a fun, useful, and encouraging place to spend a few moments of your day, and to get as “real” as I possibly can.
I hope you’ll join me on this journey from time to time, as often as possible!
Blessings to you!

Hi Tron,
I work on staff at a Church in New York City. I think your concept of Christian Traveling Mom is very creative and wish you continued success.
I am interested in the picture on your website – Jesus/Sermon on the Mount where He is sitting on the grass talking to some people. Is it for sale? I’d be grateful for some information.
Many thanks.
Blessings,
